When you think of your favorite artists, more often than not you can picture their work in your mind because they have a style you love. There are so many artists on DeviantArt that have focused their style, creating spectacular pieces of work. These past few years I've been exploring different styles I love. Some I am good at, others... I'll just have to admire the work of others. But I still haven't found what I'd consider my style.

My Favorite Artists
Let's face it. I have about as many favorite artists as I do authors. So I couldn't possibly list them all. That said, when I answer that question I always answer Thomas Kinkade when in reference to "art" and Stephan Pöppelmann when referring to "concept art." Ever since I saw my first Thomas Kinkade, I've wanted to LIVE in his paintings. All the light and beauty make the setting so peaceful. Add the fact he collaborated with Disney and yep, that cements my love of his art. I came across Stephan Pöppelmann on Instagram an visit his gallery almost daily. I absolutely love his work and aspire to create my architecture pieces like he does.Art Mediums/Styles I Like: oil paint, spray paint, watercolor, graphite/ink, copic marker, colored pencil, graffiti art (not vandalism), cartoon, manga, digital painting, photo manipulation, photography, and tech/architecture concept art.

My Holiday Wish List
I have not seen an "official" DA Christmas Wish List but I like this one I found by Starblas (https://www.deviantart.com/starblas)
STEP ONE
Make a post to your DA journal. The post should contain your list of ten holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a ______ icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("all I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV."). The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want. If you wish for tangible items, make sure you include contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Sant
Brand Characters: The Newbies
Earlier this morning I posted a journal about my original three characters for my educational brand. My goal is to transform my field art creatures into kid-friendly cartoon characters. I've decided to create guides for each one as a reference while I learn to create until I'm happy enough to print on the lesson tools. As always, I greatly appreciate critiques, ideas, and redlines. This journal is for my "bonus characters" so to speak. Their developments are still in progress so I'll probably edit this journal as I work on their character guide details.
Want to create a piece with my characters? That would be awesome! If you do, please inclu
Brand Characters: The Original Three
I have an educational brand that creates tools for learning. My goal is to transform my field art creatures into kid-friendly cartoon characters. I've decided to create guides for each one as a reference while I learn to create until I'm happy enough to print on the lesson tools. As always, I greatly appreciate critiques, ideas, and redlines. Cetch the Cottontail, Felix the Fox, and Otis the Owl are my brand's Original Three - meaning they were the first woodland creatures I painted, had printed, and sold. Below is what I consider their character guide details.

Artist Feature Meme
a tag game that supports fellow artists. I don't typically follow tag games but this one "has merit" and is worth the time. Support your friends and favorite artists by sharing you favorite art by them with this Artist Feature Meme.
Rules:
* The first 10 people's avatar commenting in this journal, and the three deviations I like most from their gallery will be put on the list below!
* If you comment, you do the same in your journal, putting the tagger (me) on the first place.
* The idea of this is not to get a free feature, it is to spread art around for everyone
